I saw this the other day and couldn’t help but think that this cartoon represents the quintessential problem with world today, particularly with Americans. No one is listening to each other. I really want to say that hard-core rightwingers are the worst perpetrators, but really it’s the hard-core anyones — rightwingers just happen to be the most visible right at the moment in the U.S.

The thing is that my dad did actually walk uphill in snow both ways… (you see, if your house is at the top of a hill and the school is at the top of a hill, it works) and you can’t argue with that…but I guess now I have a smartass remark the next time he pulls that one out. ![]()

I had a three day weekend and was sort of dreading the gazillion emails that appear in my inbox when that happens. At least I can always trust the office manager to sprinkle some humor in with all of the office stupidity that happens even when I’m not here.

(Seriously, these days, it might get to the above. I mean people are going to the store in their PJs now. How soon until they’re just in their undies?)
