Monday’s A Bitch: Randomness

1. If you could have a view of anything you wanted from your bedroom window, what would you choose? I was a true city girl before I moved to Maine, but now I really like seeing trees outside my window; I like knowing what season it is by studying their branches. This week there’s been this soft natural orange glow filling my room from the changing leaves outside. That’s something I didn’t get with the view of the canal in New Orleans.
2. Have you ever tried Red Bull? Did you like it? I’ve never tried it. I can’t imagine why I’d want to either actually. I’m not sure what it’s for.
3. Is there anything that you are embarrassed to go out and purchase? Well, seeing as I’m single and live alone, I can’t be bothered with being embarrassed about purchasing anything any more.
4. Do you like amusement park rides? Are high adrenaline rides preferable, or do you prefer the mellow ones? Most amusement park rides are migraine triggers for me — well, at least the fun ones are. Even some of the boring ones are. The ones I’ll risk it anyway are the wooden track rollercoasters. Those are by far the best any day…you can feel every bump and jostle; you can hear the clacking. Those newfangled metal rollercoasters are all just copies of each other.
5. Do you tend to be more attracted to people (romantically or for friendship) who are similar to you or very different? What sorts of differences in your personalities might attract you to a person? I like to surround myself with people with a diverse set of interests and personalities. I always have. Life is more interesting that way. It also may be why I haven’t done well in the romantic department — I do tend to date opposites of me on some ideal or another. I like to have friendships with people who have some similarities with me but have enough differences that we can discuss and influence and help each other grow. I’m always looking to meet new people who will teach me new things and help me expand my mind and my understandings of life in general.

Monday’s A Bitch: Random Joy

It’s that time of week again…

Random Joy

1. Where does Jell-o fall in the liquid to solid spectrum? This is one of those chicken-or-the-egg questions, isn’t it? There’s really no way to know the real answer. Jell-o is always on the verge of being liquid even in it’s solid form. It’s an unstable form as a solid, so I guess I’d say it’s only ever 99% solid.
2. What’s your favourite black and white movie? It’s a Wonderful Life.
3. Who’s voice(singing and/or speaking)irritates you the most? George W. Bush. I have to read all of his speeches later.

Monday’s A Bitch & I Feel Pissy

Today may not be the day to be trying to answer these.  I’m pissed, I’m stressed, I’m depressed, and I have a migraine.  Then again, it is the Monday’s a Bitch meme…

On a scale of 1-10, how _____________ are you? (Feel free to elaborate on why you chose your answer).

1. Extroverted  — Depends on the situation and who’s with me.  If my old circle of friends are with me and we’re out and about, I’m way extraverted, like a 7 or an 8.  If I’m alone, I’m a 1 - 3.  Even online it could be a crapshoot.  Mostly, I’m just incredibly shy with the potential to be fun and outgoing with the right posse behind me.
2. Evil — Depends on the situation and the type of evil.  Are we talking evil like Hitler evil or evil like “who put the decapitated jello mold head with the gummy worms coming out of it’s eyes in the fridge?” evil?  Like start a war for oil in the Middle East evil or accidently snicker at an innappropriate time evil?  Because if we’re talking about the really real kind of evil, I’m not so much, but the “Evil Geniuses For A Better Tomorrow” T-shirt-wearing kind, I’m a 8.
3. Stressed  — This is not the day to ask.  Really.  Between not knowing if I have something wrong with my lungs and kidneys or an automimmune disease and having just discovered I wasted way too much of my time on disenginous people as friends who can’t see other people’s points-of-view and getting ready to deal with my crazy family…I’m totally a 10.  Seriously, there’s not enough tranquillizers in the world today.
4. Strong  –  I like to think I’m strong.  I like to believe I’m a 9, but I’m probably a 6.
5. Weird — My weird friends say I’m the least weird of them and my normal friends say I’m very weird.  I’m guessing that puts me at around at 5.  I kind of wish I was more around a 8.  If I win the lotto, I’d like to be a 10.  Really eccentric.

Monday’s A Bitch & Summer’s Over

I’m trying out this Monday meme to amuse myself. O.K. I just liked the title because it has “bitch” in it.

The End of Summer

1. How did you spend your last summer weekend? Pretty much sick and lazy and resting in bed except when I was posting or playing with my dog.
2. What was your song of the summer? I didn’t have one. I didn’t know I was supposed to. Maybe that theme from Monk if it’s required.

3. Did you have a summer fling? That still requires meeting people, right?
