Pugly loves him some plants. His favorite part of every walk is smelling every leaf within his nose’s reach.
Don’t forget to check out this week’s Friday Ark!

OK So, this picture’s a little blurry…it was taken with my new RAZR cell phone which I’m still not sure how to use…plus, Pugly and his girlfriend Aggie were in fast action making out/wrestling mode.

Really it was the cutest thing. At first during playgroup, they had been separated because Pugly is now playing with the rough puppies and Aggie is just tiny (though she can hold her own, let me tell you). But every time they saw each other through the little playpen fence, they’d run up and give each other kisses, and all the puppy moms in the store would sigh “awwwwwwwwwww”! Well, while all of the other rough puppies were on peepee breaks, all of the tiny puppy mommies begged the playgroup monitors to put the pugs together…

I swear I have no idea how he got into my Twizzlers.

I think Pugly was trying to tell me something, but what?
Don’t forget to visit the Friday Ark.

It’s been gloomily raining most of the week here in Maine, but Sunday afternoon was bright and cool and sunny so Pugly and I had a great time outdoors. Yup, even I enjoyed the outdoors part.
Here’s Pugly trying to eat through his leash.
And here he is trying to get a close up.
And this was mid-scratch because for some reason he likes to scratch the leash and his face looks cute when he does it.
And here he is intently studying people who were apparently ignoring his royal cuteness. They didn’t resist long. I have discovered that it is impossible to go anywhere without people stopping to pet him or give him dog biscuits (even the McDonald’s drive thru guy gave him a biscuit) and everyone comments on what a handsome pug he is.
Now, don’t forget to go visit the Friday Ark and the other participants!

It’s just so rare when I catch Aloof in a moment of quiet intraspection where he’s not napping where he’ll let me take his picture without running off and this was such an awesome Kodak-type moment, I couldn’t believe I had my camera and the opportunity.

Don’t forget to stop by today’s Friday Ark!

Here are some amusing photos from my visit last Tuesday with Pugly. (Next Friday I get to bring him home!) The little black pug is his yet unnamed brother.

Time for the Friday Ark again and I’ve got puppy blogging this week!
How cute is this? (Don’t ask me which one Pugly is…all those cute pug faces looking over the edge look the same at that age…)

However, that’s his tushy facing the camera…Yes, that’s my boy (with the orange collar) standing smack dab in the middle of the food dish trying to keep everyone else out so only he can have the food. I’m such a proud Mama.

I installed these window perches so Needy and Aloof could watch the world go by and instead they spent the whole weekend watching their favorite human. Go figure.

Yesterday was warm enough in Maine for Pugly’s current care-taker to take all of the puppies and mommies outside for an adventure and a picnic. Try to find Pugly. He’s the male fawn with the orange colar. (Don’t feel bad if you can’t find him; I couldn’t either.
)

So, it turns out that Pugly qualifies to be registered in the AKC and some other official clubs because he’s a pure-bred, which is all very prestigous. He’s the first Mallory with the distinction.
I think I won’t tell him or he’ll get snooty and lord it over his less distinguished mixed-breed cat brothers.
Anyway, I’m sure I’ll keep up with all of that, but what I really want is to find him some local play groups and such. I’m afraid if he spends all of his time with my cats, he’ll start to think he’s a cat like that Great Dane in The Ugly Dachshund. Besides I’d also like to get out and socialize with some other dog owners too, meet people. I don’t want to start thinking I’m a cat either.
By the way, don’t forget to check out this Friday’s Ark blogging.

I’m trying out this thing where people blog their pets on Friday…
So, here is Needy. He wouldn’t share my blanket…
And here’s Aloof supervising my work in the kitchen.
