List of Fired Bloggers & How to Blog Safe
I don’t know why I’ve become obsessed with this of late. More and more (almost weekly it seems) there seems to be news about someone getting fired for something they wrote or posted in their blog or when they blogged or that they had one at all. I started looking around to see if anyone was compiling a list of these fired bloggers.
Here are links to the lists of fired bloggers I’ve found.
- The Papal Bull’s List of Fired Bloggers (has compiled a list of reasons why)
- The Papal Bull’s Updated List of Fired Bloggers
- Morphemetales’ Statistics of Fired Bloggers
Please leave a comment if you know of another fired blogger or a list of fired bloggers.
I believe that this sort of trend will only increase and since I don’t see blogging going away any time soon, I’ve decided to compile a list of articles with good advice on protecting yourself while blogging.
- Electronic Frontier Foundation’s “How to Blog Safely (About Work or Anything Else)”
- CNet’s FAQ: Blogging on the job
- Gloval Voices Online’s A technical guide to anonymous blogging - a very early draft
Again, please leave a comment if you know of another such article.
