Did you know that the U.S. Postal Service will provide Priority Mail shipping supplies for customers sending packages to U.S. military personnel overseas?
To obtain a free kit of shipping supplies,
- call the USPS packing supplies order line @ 1-800-610-8734
- select option #1 (”Express Mail, Priority Mail or Global Express Guaranteed products”)
- ask a customer service agent for CAREKIT04 (or a “military kit”)
You need supply only your name, address, and phone number, and they’ll get a kit off to you that should arrive within 7-10 days.
Please note that you still have to pay for the shipping costs yourself.

So, you might have noticed, I did a design change, which I believe I mentioned previously. I went with “Almost Spring” by “Beccary“. I might work on some alternate CSSs for it later.
I’ve been playing around with my plugins too. You can see the entirely too long list on the Plugin’s in use page, but the two I added most recently were one you the reader can’t see — WP-Dash, which let’s me leave myself post-it’s and allows me to better manage my drafts of posts — and my amazon wishlist which

For now, I’ve decided to use my “Featured” column which is generally politics and causes related for Hurricane Katrina stuff. There were just so many Hurricane Katrina “stickies” that I felt it really needed it’s own place more than my other opinon-type pieces. I’m debating starting a separate Hurricane Katrina blog but there are already so many out there. I don’t know if I’d really be contributing. I certainly wouldn’t mind opinions on that matter.
I also removed the fairies at the top in attempt to look less girly.
I’m debating a color change as

Well, my generous hostess, who lets me use space in her domain, poked me that I didn’t have any way for people to contact me other than comments on the site. Apparently, she received some sort of unsolicited email from someone she thinks was trying to reach me.
Sooooooo…now there’s that nifty “Contact N. Mallory” link over on the left in the sidebar.

I just upgraded to the new WordPress 1.5.2. I also added some plugins. If you find something isn’t working, please let me know. (If you can.)

I saw that Fishcakes had put out a pretty fifty “zine”-looking Wordpress theme and I couldn’t resist taking it and tweaking it.
I’m not sure quite yet if everything is working so I’ll be tweaking this and that as time goes on. Please let me know if you find anything really weird or if you really hate it or if you really love it. Also, if you know the artist of the mischievious fairies in my header, I’d love to know who it is.
Oh, here’s where you can get your original Zine theme.
[Update] I know that

I am slowly converting all of my sites to WordPress. Plus, I decided to make The Naked Truth my main blog and moved it to the root of http://nmallory.exit-23.net.
Oh, and I couldn’t resist this blog skin; it’s called “Crop Circles”. How me is that?
Anyway, there will be tweaking and I’m sure I’ll make my own skins since I’m finishing up a CSS class. I will probably concentrate on converting The Weekend Chef over from CuteNews and then working on it’s design before I do any real work here or on Nothing Tastes As Good.

I’m getting a little weirded out by the number of people coming to this site from search engines where the search phrase was “naked charmed ones”.

Well, it’s the first time in a while that I’ve been worked up over somthing not involving work or politics. :hehe: There are enough people who still want to play the game that if we have to, we’ll go to another list and keep playing. I’d rather not move. I’ve invested a lot of time and energy into that list and it’s set up. I do think I’ll change the way things are run once I’m in control again. It’s a bit too restrictive, and part of that is my fault. I
