Recovery

Well, Pugly went to the vet yesterday and they gave him a clean bill of health plus a vacination for kennel cough.  He can go back to doggy daycare next Monday.  Lucky puppy!

And here I am in the hospital.  After 4 hours of being unable to pee, they finally used a catheter to help relieve me of 700cc of pee-pee.  Owie.  That’s after they inserted long needles into my left kidney eight times; the doctor told my mother it was only three, but they didn’t use any drugs and I was wide awake for the whole thing.  They weren’t kidding

What My Cats Think About My Dog

Yesterday was the day my cats go to the vet for their annual check up and shots.  They’re indoor cats so they never leave the house except to go to the vet or to move.  So…so far, I think their experiences leaving the house probably haven’t been all that spectacular.

Pugly Gets A Cold

Well, Friday night, Pugly came home from doggy daycare with a hoarse bark and a really bad cough. Since Pugs are apt to have respiratory issues, clearly I was worried. So, we headed to the vet yesterday morning. Apparently, he picked up kennel cough from some questionable puppy at the doggy daycare. Poor thing.

So unfortunately for him, not only does he feel bad, he has an extra runny nose and this sad little bark, but he has to stay home for two weeks. No interaction with the apartment complex dogs either. Plus, I get

Pugly Goes To Niagra Falls

Well, here’s proof that Pugly made it to Niagra Falls. He was very popular while we were there. All of the children wanted to pet him and we were stopped many times by paparazzi wanting to take pictures of “the cutest Pug ever” — their words not mine, I swear.

We’re Baaaaaack….

Well, Pugly and I made it home all in one piece.  My parents are at my house and my aunt and her husband are back to their lives.  I’d say everything went well.

Pugly was a very good boy at Auntie J’s.  He had two oopsies but both were easily handled.  He even got along well weith Auntie J’s parot.  In fact, the parot and Pugly didn’t seem interested in each other at all, much to the disappointment of everyone — I think the lack of feathers and fur flying was something of a let down all around.

Pugly & I Will Be Trippin’

O.K. So, Pugly and I are hopefully leaving this afternoon/evening via U.S. Airways for Ohio to go meet up with my parents and see my Aunt and gramma.  I say hopefully because the carrier I ordered from online that fit the U.S. Airways measurments was too small for Pugly.  Seriously, there was no way he was going in it.  Since there had been all kinds of problems getting it and it finally arrived on Monday…I had to buy another rather expensive one on Tuesday in desperation.  This one does not meet the measurements.

Dreaming Of Money

Last night I had a dream.

Actually, I had several dreams.

O.K. I didn’t sleep particularly well.  That happens when there are things bothering me and even the ambien can’t seem to shut my brain off.  Basically, the worry seeps through the dreams and disturbs them and ends up waking me up and I remember the dreams and the worries.
