But I’m still trying to wrap my mind around the spatula thing. You really think I can get by with only two? Next you’ll be telling me I don’t need those eight paring knives or seven wooden spoons or… or… or…

Great list. I’ve found that making friends at 5 was much easier than it is now. Interesting how we sometimes go from being so outgoing to being so personal and withdrawn….

I drew the line when she tried to get me to part with one of my garlic presses. You absolutely need two garlic presses. Do you know how hard those are to clean? If one’s in the dishwasher, I need the extra one.

Now, knives…I only need my really good set of knives, so there wasn’t an argument and I have professional quality pots and pans so that wasn’t an argument, but the casserole dishes…oy. That was a sad, sad day.

Apparently, you also only need two sets of sheets for each bed…though I was able to convince her that I needed two regular sets of sheets plus two sets of flannel sheets each.

Wonderful list! Seperate water fountains; I like that one! #10 disturbed me though - I don’t have even 1 spatula… What does that say about me? Maybe exposes the fact that I don’t cook!

Actually, this is one of the better T13’s I’ve read lately! Defenitely worth reading

Well, you only need two garlic presses if you’re not having the right one. Like the one I got, brand: Zyliss from Switzerland. It’s a little bit easier to clean

The problem to make friends may depend on the fact that we got so much with us from the past when we get older…

And I find that many people tend to turn to the animals instead:

Great 13–motivating

I need constant reminding of #3–it’s hard to let people down, even when its better for self. But it’s a major cause of stress in my little corner.

And it’s been years since I heard silence…let’s see, oldest kid is 6, so I’d say about 6 years

Dane - I wondered if anyone would bring up Spatula City. When I was writing that one, that’s all I could think about…that and the fact that Spatula City seemed like a fun place to go when I saw that movie and I was the only one of my friends who thought so… hmmmm…
