Discombobulated Thoughts - 05/24/06

Posted in My Life, Discombobulated, The Puppy by n. mallory | .
  • My left eye is twitching. How can you stop an eye from twitching?
  • I need to go buy more Yankee Candle oil refills. I blame the personal organizer for this addiction.
  • Apparently though none of the books mentioned it, Pugs are notorious Drama Queens. This is according to the vet. I thought it was just my puppy, but apparently it’s the whole breed that overreacts to every little thing.
  • I am so going to fall asleep at my desk before the end of the day today.
  • It is a bad idea to make Mac & Cheese when the box says “Best Used by Aug 2004″ and it’s May 2006. This is my public service announcement of the day.
  • I need to do laundry, dishes, clean a litterbox and take a nap, not to mention go home and take care of all the puppy needs. I really need a nap.

Aww, that sucks that you’re so tired. I am cracking up at your Drama Queen, Pugsly.

No idea on the eye twitching, although for some reason your question sounded like a song lyric in my mind. Maybe to the tune of “How do you solve a problem like Maria?”

Doesn’t the candle oil aggravate your migraines? I’m notoriously oversensitive when it comes to smells. It’s annoying. But maybe you’ve found a tolerable home fragrance product, yay!

I really like their Sage & Citrus or whatever it is. It covers up pet smells nicely. Which reminds me that I need to Febreeze the sofa when I get home. ;)

Smells only aggrevate my migraines when something else has already aggrevated them and then only certain smells at certain strengths. Incenses are more likely to trigger something than candles or oils for example, which is a shame, because I like incense. I can only use incense if a window is open.

Also, the more expensive the home frangrance product, the less aggravating to migraines.

Certain smells can be the initial trigger for me, but they have to be really strong and specific. That one sounds nice, actually. And it makes sense that the more pricey, the better because the ingredients are probably more natural, less tweaked, etc.

Incense can bug me, but the hub uses it sometimes and the ones he buys aren’t too bad. He knows better than to get any stank-ass patchouli within a fifty-yard radius of me :)

I finally stopped coughing after my evil bout of bronchitis three weeks ago. Jeez!
