Brokeback is one of my new fave movies of all time, although I still haven’t watched my DVD as I know it will be a cryfest. I don’t really care about the hype, but I loved this movie beyond all reason, and especially the performances of Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams.

Hope things look up, and that you can get the demon spawn puppy outside soon!

As for Brokeback, I think they should have made it more of a love triangle personally. I did think Heath Leger did a good job, probably one of his best preformances really. I guess I was expecting more because my friend read the short story and told me about it and she was really hyped on the short story and maybe that made a difference.

It made me realize that fiction into film works much better when the source is a short story or novella, rather than a novel, especially a lengthy one. It’s so hard to pare a story down and still satisfy, whereas when you can add a few things and retain the essence of the original, the film can truly sing.

Hee, we still keep the kittens in a separate room from our cat most of the time, and especially when something is on that needs our full attention (like this week’s ep of “Lost” — and next week’s two-hour finale, for sure!). Funny that he liked “Dog” — my sister raves about that show!
