Discombobulated Thoughts - 04/25/06 - Grumpy Edition

• Doctors and nurses make the worst patients and my mother is right up there.  She insists that her ankle can’t possibly be broken because it doesn’t hurt “that bad” and refuses to stay off her feet like she’s been told to.  She honestly believes the doctor is wrong.
• My only surviving grandmother has taken a turn for the worse and is now refusing to socialize with anyone and has lost 20 lbs.
• I think I forgot to take my meds this morning.
• I’m sleepy and I’ve had bad insomnia for over a week.
• My co-workers are being overly loud and annoying today.
• I feel fat.
• I have way too much to do this week.

   I wonder what it’s like to be so old that you come to a place where you know it’s just…time. Just time, ya know? …and no reason to prolong it.
