The wire taps are legal. Too many courts have said they are OK. People confuse criminal wire tapping with national security wire tapping. People in the US who communicate with the enemy (and that is what they are trying to hear) are considered agents of a foreign government. The spin is the same. I could send you a dozen emails from the DNC completely mischaracterizing the whole issue. BTW, Bush briefed the members of Congress who needed to be briefed. This seems like one of those childish games where people are mad because they were not included. I know Feingold thinks he is a genius and the pulse of America but he is not that important in the over all scheme of things. We have been through this but I must say it again.
