Need A New Look

Now that I’ve got Wordpress upgraded, I realize that I’m tired of this theme. I still want the three columns with one column being the “Featured” column but I want somthing a little more calming and smooth looking.

I guess I’ll be looking around the web for ideas.

A List Apart’s Holy Grail article is finally the FIRST 3 column (2 sidebars and post content area) I’ve found without any browser hacks. Very cool. I’m really excited about it and will be putting it on my site soon, removing the old excellent but single hack layout I developed a few years ago.

   Still, if you are looking for a new WordPress Theme already made, the new http://themes.wordpress.net/ is very cool and well done. It allows you several different ways of previewing themes. Very neat.

   At lease for temporary, I’m using this theme, but I haven’t checked it for validation yet and it needs tweaking.

   Maybe I’ll make a four column look. Hmmmm.

   You know…I kind of like that Holy Grail, though I can make his example break, but the real trouble I have is the graphics part of the design. Not only am I not graphically artistic, but I have no real graphics software on my current system.

   Plus, I can’t figure out how to search the commons properly to find the kind of images I might want.
