We got in at 1:30 this morning after traveling since 8 am CA time. Furthermore, I could not care less about the 17K I have. I'm officially relieving myself of the need to win, because I don't want this one to build to 50K badly enough to spend the next four days miserable and sleep-deprived (and still possibly not make it). I feel surprisingly good about my decision. I won last year, and in the immortal words of lots of cliche-happy peeps, you can't win 'em all! I'm going to the wrap party next weekend with my head held high. Way to go, I'll be reading your latest excerpts when I get the chance! It’s Sunday, and I haven’t written a word.
