My Journey

My Journey

I had a desire to see the world,
So I carefully mapped out my route,
keeping every path in mind
I noted the sites and cities I wanted to visit
and studied the roads I wanted to take
And I began.

But some roads were closed,
and some sites gone,
and some cities became unreachable.

So I saw other sites,
visited other cities,
traveled other roads.

And I do not regret the detours,
because I chose the direction
and the journey was mine.
