Embracing My Inner-Neat-Freak…Again

I am taking a four day weekend for the 4th of July. Try not to get too excited. I’ve dedicated it to cleaning house.

With N2 possibly coming in August and my parents coming in September, it’s time to stop being a slob and start getting organized again.

So, I’m going to do the “framework” this weekend.

Friday:

• straighten the living room
• clean the kitchen
• clean the downstairs bathroom
• sweep and mop the kitchen, bathroom, and foyer
• vacuum first floor

Saturday:

• Hair appointment (should take 2-1/2 hours
• groceries
• clean upstairs bathroom & hall
• re-organize upstairs bathroom linen closet
• laundry, including folding and putting away

Sunday:

• clean bedroom
• vacuum upstairs hall, stairs, and bedroom
• cook for the week

Monday:

• straighten office
• vacuum office
• hang curtain rods & curtains

At some future point, I will need to price things for the community garage sale and assess what other projects need to be done. I want to paint my living room bookshelves and I have Wallies for my kitchen. I also bought some paints and a wood shelf for my upstairs bathroom.
