I completely redesigned The Weekend Chef over the weekend. I converted it from CuteNews to WordPress. While I liked CuteNews and their message boards were full of support and friendliness, WordPress simply had more features — built-in or plug-in — and a more polished look. Plus, I got tired of waiting for the new release of CuteNews that was due out any time.
The conversion was not as easy as the Greymatter conversions. The only way to import the recipes and other articles was to use an RSS feed and I spent most of Saturday struggling

A curious fellow died one day and found himself waiting in the long line for judgment. As he stood there he noticed that some souls were allowed to march right through the pearly gates into Heaven. Others though, were led over to Satan who threw them into the burning pit. But every so often, instead of hurling a poor soul into the fire, Satan would toss a soul off to one side into a small pile.
After watching Satan do this several times, the fellow’s curiosity got the best of him. So he strolled over and asked Satan what he

It’s rained all but 4 days this month. Mostly it’s been in the 40’s and 50’s. It’s been miserable. It’s been wearing on me.
But this weekend, it got into the 60’s and Saturday was quite beautiful and sunshiny. Actually, I was so shocked because I couldn’t figure out where all that light was coming from.
I went out in short sleeves and have my heat off for the first time since November. Heck, my downstairs windows are open.
Though admittedly I’m still using the electric blanket. Well, maybe not tonight.

Since I now have the capability to categorize my posts, I went back and sorted the 150+ posts converted from Greymatter. To do so, I, of course, had to at least skim, if not read them all.
What I realized is that while I’m still suffering from anxiety and depression, I no longer have dreams about losing my job and I am financially better off than I was a year ago. I’ve also been reminded that the frequency of my headaches and migraines has significantly decreased. My blood pressure is down. I am still a lazy procrastinating

I am slowly converting all of my sites to WordPress. Plus, I decided to make The Naked Truth my main blog and moved it to the root of http://nmallory.exit-23.net.
Oh, and I couldn’t resist this blog skin; it’s called “Crop Circles”. How me is that?
Anyway, there will be tweaking and I’m sure I’ll make my own skins since I’m finishing up a CSS class. I will probably concentrate on converting The Weekend Chef over from CuteNews and then working on it’s design before I do any real work here or on Nothing Tastes As Good.

I know it’s been awhile. I don’t know why I was avoiding writing here with everything that’s been going on. I’ve needed an outlet and here was this journal and I didn’t take advantage of it.
Every time I get word about my 17 year old cousin who was diagnosed with aneorexia, it all seems to get worse. Apparently she has a 19 year old boyfriend who dropped out of high school and she is failing her senior year and my mother thinks she is on drugs due to her irratic behavior. Apparently she needs more surgery
